All Music is Beautiful

I think music is one my favorite things in this world. I love all kinds of music, Rock, Hip-Hop, Alternative, Country Classical. Music, for me, can help me to express myself better. I find how I am feeling in many different songs. Many of the Filipinos here know that I’m the one to go to with music. However what I wanted to share today is one of my all time favorite songs.

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won't let show

You just call on me brother when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

You just call on me brother when you need a hand
we all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
we all need somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me

Call me if you need a friend . . .

Trying a New Way to Post

So I kept getting this update to upgrade to the newest windows live messenger. So finally I did it and upgraded. When I did they had this Windows Live Writer which helps or is a way to easily write posts so this is the test.

So I had begun writing about our drive up skyline and never finished posting the pictures. It was taking forever and I was tired so here are the rest of the pictures.

(Continued from Hair the color of autumn) So after our first stop on skyline drive we continued on and decided to stop at the visitor center and wonder around. There was a pile of leaves and of course I had to get pictures in it (everyone else also wanted a picture of them in the leaves.)

I’m liking this Live writer, it lets me put the pictures where I want and the words where I want. I can even play with different fonts (I think) I can :)

The rest of the time we mostly drive with random stops and instead of boring you with all the random stops, I will just post the pictures. When we got down with Skyline drive some of the people wanted to go a winery so we took a small road to a back road and then turned on a residential road that led to a gravel road to get the winery. It was the smallest road I had driven on and could literally fit one car on the road. However, it was a cute little log-ish cabin that looked out over the mountains. Beautiful view.

I’m not sure you can tell, (I hope you can) but each of those pictures has a different boarder. I can really have some fun with that :)

Driving

I don't know how many people I've told about driving in Manila, but it can get pretty crazy. However, I have never seen an accident. They usually do not observe stop signs or lights. Also lanes do not mean anything and I have had times where my cab was so close to the car next to me that a person could not fit between them (I think it was like 5 inches between the two cars. Anyway lately I have been driving filipino's around because I have been working with them and have been told that I could probably drive in Manila. Yikes that means either I am good enough to handle a car around the other drivers in Manila or that I am just as crazy as them.

Hair the color of Autumn

So I am pretty sure I have mentioned fall colors in every single one of my posts, but I am not used to the beautiful colors you see in the east plus there are tons of trees. Anyway, for Halloween I did not do any of the normal Halloween activities, in fact I kept forgetting it was Halloween. Anyway one of my co-worker's, Heather decided to take all the Filipino's on day trip (a drive through Virginia and the mountains.) It took ALL day, but was worth it and we got a ton of beautiful pictures. Luckily in my car I had one guy who loves to take pictures and he's pretty good so we would do a lot of posed pictures. One of the pictures he mentioned that my hair is the color of Autumn and now that I have the pictures I realize why he said that.

I've also included a couple of my favorite pictures from the trip. It was seriously a beautiful drive. We began the trip in Richmond headed west for about 45 min which was all freeway driving. Then we got off the freeway and headed north on a small winding state route that took us through lots of little towns. It was beautiful and I thought Andrea the entire time because of the all beautiful little farms. After driving for a couple of hours we decided to stop in a little town and took some pictures of the rolling hills and small town roads. One of the girls that I work with, Theresa is so photogenic I had to include one her photos in here (I hope she doesn't mind.)

I wonder how long a blog can be and how many pictures you can add. I also am afraid that there will be too much to read and people will get bored, but there's so much to show and talk about. Anyway we finally got to the top of this drive called Skyline which is a national park that is a road in the mountains which has some beautiful views of the valleys below. These are pictures of our first stop

There are more pictures to show and and things to tell, but I am getting tired and wanted to publish what I had so far. So I am going to call it quits for now but will continue on another post so that way it's broken up a bit.
