So I know it has been way too long since I blogged last. I was having troubles blogging on my computer and Jake’s computer was never around for me to use. However, I know have a new personal computer. I am supper excited to use it and have something that I can keep without feeling like I rely and am owned by my company. It will take a while to get this computer to what I like. Putting my pictures and music on this one, but I can’t wait until it’s done.

Oregon Day 1
I LOVED Oregon! It had the best of both worlds for me plus more. It was close to the ocean, which I love, and still had mountains. Plus everything was so green and beautiful!
In Oregon we stayed at Q’s Landing. It was a fun house on the river. It had 5 bedrooms 3 baths plus a living area. Then the best part were the decks. There were huge decks where you could sit look out on the river and just chat or play games. They also had a big table that sat 10 so you could eat outside as well. There was also a doc and a boat house with a boat inside. Too bad we couldn’t use it. The “back yard” had lush green grass where the little girls played all day. The first day was a “rest” day where we didn’t have plans were going to chill at the house. The guys ended up going golfing and we just enjoyed Q’s Landing.
The coast was about 20 minutes away by a town called Florence. There were cute little shops and a really good seafood restaurant. Since Seafood isn’t my favorite that means something. I did get a pasta dish, but tried my dad’s halibut that was a bit on the expensive side and though it was to amazing!
After dinner we went to the Beach. It was late and cold and you had to walk a ways to get to the actual beach. However, it was worth it. The sand was so soft and I enjoyed walking in it barefoot. Also the view is gorgeous.

Current Post
So I know I’m in the middle of posting about my Oregon trip and over the next week I plan to get everything updated. However, I did want to post about the newest addition to our family.
Over much discussion and debating Jake and I thought a dog would be a good addition. We’re living a place that allows dogs. Jake is definitely a dog lover. He could keep me company while Jake’s gone. I’ve seen mice and Jake’s allergic to cats. So we got ourselves a Long-haired Dachshund. He’s adorable, he has a little bit of fluffy hair on his ears and soft black hair with bits of brown. His 4 months old. We named him Cash. We’ve only had him a couple of days so we only have a few pictures of him. He was napping with me today and Jake got a picture. Then after I wanted to get a picture of just Cash.
Road Trip
So I started this post forever ago, but I was having troubles with blogger post editor and posting pictures. However, I really want to get Oregon posted since that was a month ago. Plus I can actually post using windows writer since Jake’s computer doesn’t have the troubles mine has.
Anyway, my family decided with the number of people in our family that we could rent a beach house on the Oregon coast. However, we ended up with a house on the river about 20 min from the Coast. It was great trip! One of the fun things about it was the road trip. It took two days, but worth it. I got to visit with my sisters, enjoy a book with my husband and one leg of the journey It was me and the guys. I would just sit in the back, listening and laughing. Here are some of the pictures us driving.
The leg of the journey with my sisters was with Alicia, Michaelene and the two beautiful babies, Eve and Kaylee. Michaelene was awesome and sat in the back with the babies. She is so good with the kids! I love her to death!
The first day we ended up eating at a beautiful little park in one of the towns on the way. It was nice, we got to lay on the grass under the shade of a tree. The little girls were playing on the play ground just a little ways away. While we were sitting I actually got some beautiful pictures of Kaylee. She is so so so cute. I cannot believe how quickly they grow.
That night we ended up staying at a little motel in a small town called Burns. It was funny because not one of the best places I’ve stayed but the Brook and Erin loved it! We were on the second floor and the girls loved to look out over the edge and shout to whoever was unloading the cars. Then later before bed we all enjoyed the nice summer air sitting on the balcony chatting.
The next morning we headed out, but figured we had some time since it we only had 8 hours of driving and we left at 8 that morning. We ended up taking a route over the Oregon mountains which turned out to be beautiful. Tall green trees that even had moss or vines growing up the tree trunk. I was riding with Jake and Jason and we decided to stop at the next site seeing place and take some pictures. It ended up being a lava field which was extremely interesting.
After this we got to the house on the River and I am so sad to say that I did not take pictures of it. I cannot believe I didn’t take pictures.

Hitch Hikers
On our road trip to Oregon I saw more hitch hikers then I have in a long time. Well one day the guys went golfing in the nearest city which happend to be 45 minutes west. Turns out on their way home they picked up hitch hikers trying to get from Canada to somewhere in Arizona and then back up to Vegas to get married. It was a young couple early 20s from London. Their current destination was Florence which was the nearest coastal town. Since our cabin was about 30 minutes from Florence the guys dropped off our new London friends at some small stores by our cabin and said good luck.
A couple hours passed and our huge family group decided to go to Mo's for dinner which ends up being in Florence. Well Jake and I had an empty backseat so Jake said that if he saw that couple again he was going to pick them up. Sure enough they were in the same spot the guys dropped them off so we picked them up. I thought it was funny and had the guys had not done it first then I probably won't have let Jake stop. Luckily they were fun to talk to and they were nice. I loved their accents. If they ever do make it to Vegas on time and actually can get married and make their flight home to London then they will have some great stories. Although they said we were the only people to pick them up so far (not really surprising.)
Well later that night as we're heading home we decide to stop at the beach for a minute. On our way home we saw another girl hitch hiking and my mom decides to pick her up. She wasn't as interesting, I guess she was drunk and lost. It's strange that we saw that many hitch hikers and even more strange to pick them up. At least it turned out to be OK.

Monthly Update
Anyway with my new camera I will be able to get pictures of the new place (not the outside since the outside looks like crap) and put on pictures from my wonderful Oregon vacation.
By the way I would live in Oregon, well on the coast. East Oregon is nothing special, but I love love love the coast. Although it is me, who's surprised that I would live in a place close to water. I one time, as a joke, told Andrea that I must have been a mermaid in a previous life. She looks at me and says "Um we don't believe in re-incarnation." Haha, I also don't believe in mermaids which is why it was supposed to funny. I guess not . . .
Finally I am currently in New York although there is not much to blog about there, no pictures. It will be just a little blurb about the trip, some new colleague that I have met and such. So expect those come.

A New Home
So Jake and I found a cute little place to rent in Stockton. It will be nice because, first it's super cheap and second I'm close enough to my familiy as I possibly can but still have our own space. We technically "moved" in on the 8th. However, I didn't see any reason to rush in since Jake isn't home and I don't mind squatting at my parents. It's a nice place, but could use a little touch up work so probably once a day I go do some little thing to it. Although Jason was really really nice and helped me do some mudding in the bedroom. I plan to finish sanding and painting by the time Jake gets home so that we can move our bedroom stuff in and sleep there. Then while Jake's home he'll do some more touch up to the place and we'll slowly move in.
We are thinking of buying the place. The owner mentioned maybe wanting to sell and it has some nice property on it so we'll maybe end up buying it. I even got pre-approved for the price they quoted. We just need to get some finances in order before we put in an offer. We also want to get the house appraised and stuff. It will be fun to buy a place of our, where it's ours to do what we wish.
